“If you start taking your first load of insecure thinking seriously and your next lot, before you know it you’re pretty snowed under with going off in the wrong direction and looking for something on the outside instead of looking inwards to see what wisdom is saying”.
Join Susan as she shares her experience of temporarily feeling insecure thinking around her job and her boyfriend. Whilst Susan felt awful during that low state of mind, she also knew this feeling would pass and rather than experiencing long spells of insecure thinking, she notices those spells don’t last so long anymore and most of the times she’s experiencing good feelings. She realises that even in those dark moments, fresh thinking is just around the corner and it can come in any moment.
“Before my understanding of the Three Principles I thought I had to fix myself in order to feel better, now I know I’ve just got a lot on my mind which is not helpful to me. Now I know the only reason why I would get into an unhelpful state again is if I have thinking that I take seriously.”
Susan shares how she used to take things really personally in the past and with her understanding of how Mind, Thought and Consciousness works, she now realises that when people get caught up in their thinking, it can change in any moment and she can reconnect with people quicker, not holding onto any upsets or taking things personally.
During this conversation Susan acknowledges that she’s the creator of whatever state she’s experiencing and that when she’s not taking her thinking too seriously, she can allow her state to shift in any moment, experiencing more effective thinking just a few moments later.
