How can we live life engaged in the now and not getting caught up in dramas and overwhelmed by our stories?
At this Edinburgh Community Night, Steph, Kaye and our guest speaker, Nikki Welch, are sharing how a simple understanding of how our Mind works can result in spontaneously waking up to an easier, richer and way more fun experience of life.
I remember years ago someone sharing with me that it wasn’t necessary to hold on to anything and that we can shake off experiences like water off a duck’s back. I thought how wonderful and freeing this would be. I also remember reading about a successful international speaker with a packed schedule full of speaking engagements, flights and meetings. He explained that he didn’t get tired because he never thought about the future and was present in each moment. Again, I remember having a feeling of knowing that that could be possible, but not sure how to actually do that. It came naturally to this man I wondered why it didn’t come naturally to me.
Hear how it’s possible to have the full experience, yet feel lighter and not frightened of feelings – because we have an understanding of where they come from and that they don’t contain any useful information. Playing the game, knowing it’s a game, rather than believing our well-being depends on it.
