“In the past if I had a horrible experience I had to find the lesson in it. It was about self improvement, which I got pretty good at it. Now I don’t take my thinking so seriously, I see how it’s a constantly changing river” – Kim Hare
Enjoy this conversation with Kim Hare and Kaye Taylor about how having the understanding of the Three Principles of Mind, Consciousness and Thought is different to self improvement.
In this episode Kim Hare shares how much of a trust she has these days in the temporary nature of her thoughts, knowing how fluid and transient they are. She can see that her thoughts can change any minute without her having to fix, control or manipulate them. She talks about how this was really challenging for her to realise at the beginning, having had 30 years experience in self improvement and a background in state change.
Kim talks about the difference between our experience that happens compared to our relationship to the experience. The less significant and important we take our thoughts about our experience, the more we see how our thoughts are just a constantly changing river.
In the past Kim had to find the lessons in horrible experiences, not knowing at the time what else was on offer. Now it’s more about understanding the inside out nature of life, how our minds work and understanding how it only works one way. For Kim the gold is in realising who we really are.
